Summer 1961. Emil is a member of the DEFA-Studio Babelsberg and falls head over heels in love with the French dancer Milou. The two are destined for each other. But then they are separated by the border closure on 13 August 1961. A reunion seems impossible until Emil forges a daring plan...

The film features German star cast: Emilia Schüle, Dennis Mojen, Heiner Lauterbach and Ken Duken.
